Good morning,

This week JoAnn Davidson will be at the University Church and will teach Viv’s Sabbath School class.  She is the author of this quarter’s Sabbath School lessons, “Glimpses of God”.  Viv’s class will meet in the sanctuary this week.

Sunday evening at 5pm will be our special concert featuring the Andrews Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Professor Claudio Gonzales.  There will be over 30 musicians filling our church with wonderful music.  They will be performing Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”.  Please come and bring your friends.

There will be a church outreach into the East Lansing community next week following potluck. Please bring warm clothes. This will be in preparation to Pastor Shin’s spring meetings.

This is the week for the Nursing home outreach program.  Please bring a dish to pass.

Fern and Oscar are selling a cookbook they helped put together for the Pathfinders in the Houston area.  They sent a copy for display at church in case anyone would like to order it.  The price is $17.  The Pathfinders are using the cookbook project to finance a trip to the Camporee in Texas and to replace old camping gear.  Call Marsha Brandon if you are interested.

Ricky Carter, a new employee of the Michigan Conference, is looking for a room to rent in the Lansing area. You may contact Ricky at 615-394-6936 or via email at

Have you ever wanted to know your Bible more? Have you desire to share your through a Bible study but wished you had some training? Every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm at the University Church in the fellowship hall we will be having a special seminar entitled, “Bible Boot Camp”. It will be specifically designed so that you will be able learn the special truths such as the Sabbath, Second Coming, and Salvation so that you will be grounded in your faith and be able to share.

Quote of the Week:

But many feel that they lack faith, and therefore they remain away from Christ. Let these souls, in their helpless unworthiness, cast themselves upon the mercy of their compassionate Saviour. Look not to self, but to Christ. He who healed the sick and cast out demons when He walked among men is still the same mighty Redeemer. Then grasp His promises as leaves from the tree of life: “Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.” John 6:37. As you come to Him, believe that He accepts you, because He has promised. You can never perish while you do this–never.  {Ministry of Healing, 65}

Dr. JoAnn Davidson will be speaking this Sabbath for the worship service which begins at 11:30am! You won’t want to miss this special opportunity. Join us for worship and fellowship!

See you tomorrow,

Mary
